Pinnacle Port is a planned resort condominium community uniquely nestled between the Gulf of Mexico and Lake Powell. Intent on providing luxury accommodations and facilities, construction of six seven-story mid-rise buildings began in 1974 and in 1977 the twelve story tower building was completed.
The mid-rise complex provides a total of 168 one, two and three bedroom one level condominiums and the tower building contains 240 townhouse units. These condominium apartments offer upscale accommodations to both permanent and temporary residents.
Pinnacle Port offers owners and their guests a variety of recreational facilities and opportunities, in keeping with a goal to be a high quality resort community. The facilities include two swimming pools; one of which is an outdoor pool and the other is an indoor/outdoor heated pool that is useable year round. There are user friendly accommodations for boats with a 26 boat-slip marina, parking for boats with trailers, and a boat launch ramp into Lake Powell. Other recreational facilities are a well-equipped playground for children, picnic area with barbeque grills, lighted tennis courts, shuffleboard courts, billiard room, game and card room, community room with a full kitchen and workout room with a wide range of exercise equipment.
The beach at Pinnacle Port is one of the most beautiful beaches found anywhere in the world and offers all of the amenities expected at a world class beach. Because of its location adjacent to Lake Powell, Pinnacle Port offers a full range of water sport activities associated with boating and fishing.
Originally Pinnacle Port was envisioned to be a much larger condominium community much of the land planned for future development is now the adjacent single family luxury homes community known as Carillon, with which Pinnacle Port now shares an entrance. The development of Carillon, as a very upscale single family home community, has proven to be very beneficial to the Pinnacle Ports original purpose of providing superior resort accommodations and facilities.
Pinnacle Port was also once the set for the movie “CONDO,” which was based on the book CONDOMINIUM by John D. McDonald. This movie can still be seen occasionally on late night television movie channels.
